GWIS is hosting Spring into STEM: Today’s Students, Tomorrow’s Scientists

Registration is open for middle school girls to attend Spring into STEMTM: Today’s Students, Tomorrow’s Scientists. GWIS, in colloboration with Young Women In Bio – RTP, is hosting this event at NC State’s Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center (BTEC) on April 28 from 1 PM – 5 PM.

Middle school girls are invited to an afternoon of scientific activities. Fields of science represented include: chemistry, physics, ecology, epidemiology, engineering, and molecular biology. Experiments, networking, and a keynote talk will be presented by local women in STEM and volunteers from the Graduate Women in Science and Women In Bio local chapters. Each student will also receive their own lab notebook to take home.

*Note that if you are not a Women In Bio member, you can register as a guest. This is a FREE event so there is no registration cost.
