As the temperatures rise, it is time once again to visit our wonderful friends at the Duke Lemur Center! This year, GWIS – RT is teaming up with Duke Lemur Center to bring to you the Lemurs Live Twilight Tour. As the sun sets and temperatures cool, lemurs become increasingly lively and their energy levels peak.
After a very successful 2018-2019 year for our chapter and for our officers, Graduate Women in Science 2019-2020 is asking you to vote for your new officers for the upcoming year. A few familiar faces that love contributing to GWIS and a few new faces who will definitely enjoy their time as officers.
We invite all our members and friends of GWIS Research Triangle to volunteer at the Durham Branch of the Food Bank with us as a group. This is a special volunteer activity specifically for you to attend as a part of the GWIS – RT contingent!
Research Triangle, NC Chapter of Graduate Women in Science (GWIS) has established a travel award in honor of Dr. Jennifer Leigh Ingram. This award is given to defray some of the costs that female graduate students incur while traveling to national or other major scientific meetings where they are presenting the results of their research.
