Attend BugFest with GWIS!

Are you interested in learning about bugs? Are you adventurous enough to eat bugs? Then join fellow GWIS members as we attend BugFest! BugFest is a free, family friendly event at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. This year the theme is all about dragonflies (http://naturalsciences.org/bugfest/index).

GWIS will meet at 9 AM and will attend BugFest as a group. Family, friends, and non-GWIS members are welcome to join us! This is a great opportunity to meet and socialize with fellow science enthusiast while learning all about bugs! To RSVP click HERE. Please RSVP by Thursday, September 14.

Date: Saturday, September 16

Meeting time: 9:00 AM – BugFest runs from 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM. It is very popular (35,000 attendees!) so we want to arrive early before it gets too crowded. Please keep in mind that traffic may be heavier than usual when heading downtown.

Meeting location: North Carolina Veteran’s Monument (1 E Edenton St, Raleigh, NC 27601) – We will walk over to the museum from the monument.

The volunteer sign-up sheet will be available August 21.
